The American Academy of Audiology is pleased to support research through its Research Awards Program. Two categories of Research Awards are available: |
|||||||||||||
|
New Investigator Research Award Awards of $5,000 each will be granted to investigators who have recently completed a degree in audiology and do not have significant sources of research funding. Student Investigator Research Award Awards of $2,500 each will be granted to graduate students working toward a degree in audiology who wish to complete a research project as a part of their course of study. These awards are designated for new investigators and, in both instances, the funded investigators will undertake research with a mentor. Four awards will be made based on merit of the application. When possible and appropriate, awards will be made for both clinical/applied research and basic research. Development of this research award program underscores the commitment of the American Academy of Audiology to the promotion of research among audiologists. This program provides a means for encouraging research as part of a student's training program and the development of young scientists within our profession. Applications for 2002 awards are due in the Academy office by February 15, 2002. Award recipients will be announced at 2002 annual convention. An Awards Review Committee will review applications, and designate award recipients. For applications and further information click here: http://www.audiology.org/students/rap/ |
