Helping Your Child Learn to Talk
A Workshop for Parents of Children who are Deaf and Hard of Hearing, ages 2 to 6

Wednesday, July 23, 2003, beginning at 6:00 p.m.,
through Sunday, July 27, 2003, ending at 1:00 p.m.

Due to the overwhelming response to the Summer Parent Workshop, the Moog Center for Deaf Education has decided to offer a second workshop July 23-27, 2003. Please register early as space is limited to ensure the quality of our program to its participants. Click here for the registration form.

Join us for a four-day workshop where you will learn effective ways to work with your child and help your child learn to talk. Bring your child and make this a Family Affair. Classes will be provided for children 2 to 6 years and evaluation of speech and language will be provided for children 3 and up, for an additional fee.

The following topics will be discussed:
* hearing loss and its impact in learning spoken language
* understanding language learning in young children
* turning everyday activities into language learning experiences
* managing your child so your child does not manage you
* mainstreaming your child in playgroups and community activities

Enrollment is limited so that there will be plenty of
opportunity for interaction and hands-on experiences.
