National Theatre of the Deaf to Receive 10% of Internet Company's Revenues

BRIDGEPORT, Conn., March 5 /PRNewswire/ -- Thousand Cranes Tea announces the selection of the National Theatre of the Deaf as Charity of the Month for March 2001. During the month of March, Thousand Cranes will devote 10% of its gross revenues to this distinguished Connecticut-based cultural organization.

The National Theatre of the Deaf (NTD)-headquartered in Hartford, Connecticut-is the world's premiere deaf theatre company, a leading cultural organization with a national and international reputation and the oldest continually touring theatre company in the United States. NTD is passionately committed to expanding performance, training and employment opportunities for deaf, hard of hearing and hearing artists through continued national and international touring and partnerships with leading regional theatres and top international artists.

Thousand Cranes Tea, an e-commerce company devoted to the great taste and startling health benefits of tea, was founded in
December 1999 by Yuko Iida Frost and Gordon Jay Frost, two veterans of the nonprofit world. The Charity of the Month Program reflects the core values of Thousand Cranes Tea and its founders.

``The Charity of the Month Program is designed to promote the best efforts in the nonprofit world,'' says Yuko Iida Frost,
co-founder of Thousand Cranes Tea. ``Our hope is not only to give to organizations, but also to actively promote their work
and successes to a wider public.''

``The National Theatre of the Deaf is making the kinds of artistic choices which add great benefit to the lives of everyone it touches,'' says Thousand Cranes co-founder, Jay Frost. ``We encourage other companies and individuals to join us in
supporting them.''

Thousand Cranes Tea launched its Charity of the Month Program in September 2000. Every month, Thousand Cranes devotes 10% of its gross revenues to a charity working in support of the environment, children, peace, health or arts & culture. Charities
highlighted in past months include Earth Force, Pearl S. Buck International, Christian Children's Fund of Canada and the
Obsessive Compulsive Foundation. To learn more about the Charity of the Month program and the National Theatre of the Deaf, visit the Thousand Cranes Tea site at http://www.ThousandCranes.com or call 877-334-4467.
