Improved Disability Services Web Site
ALBERTSON, N.Y., April 24 /PRNewswire Interactive News Release/ -- The National Business & Disability Council
(NBDC) officially unveiled its improved web site this month, http://www.business-disability.com.
The new site continues to
provide services to assist member companies in hiring people with disabilities and help people with disabilities search for
employment and market themselves to employers. Added features to the site will now allow the Council to obtain feedback on
the use of its services and also track the Council's success rate in helping people with disabilities gain employment.
The National Business & Disability Council is the leading national resource for the successful integration of people with
disabilities into today's workforce and consumer marketplace. NBDC is located on the campus of the National Center for
Disability Services and has been helping companies hire people with disabilities for 24 years. Six months ago, NBDC began
consulting with Future Tech Enterprise, Inc. of Holbrook, NY in an effort to improve its existing web navigation system and
create a more user-friendly site. The result is a fully accessible web site that is both visually and functionally state-of-the-art.
Features of the NBDC Web-site include:
* NBDC National Resume Database® -- A database containing resumes of individuals with disabilities who are seeking employment. The resume database is a free service available to people with disabilities.
* Job Posting Page -- A database of job opportunities available within companies that are members of the National Business & Disability Council. This service is free and the jobs are available to people with disabilities only.
* Newsletters -- The National Business & Disability Council publishes a monthly newsletter that is available to members only and a quarterly newsletter, which is available to both members and the community.
* Disability Resources -- Links to disability related organizations
throughout the Country.
The National Business & Disability Council is a non-profit organization with members that are primarily Fortune 1000
companies located across the United States. NBDC members represent many fields of business from retail to aerospace; each
