This light-hearted, action drama is inspired by the true story of Sue
Thomas, who was profoundly deaf from the age of 18 months, but managed to
overcome significant obstacles to become the first deaf woman to work
surveillance for the FBI.
The series follows the coming of age of a young and sheltered woman who is
about to start her first real job with the FBI. Disappointed when she is
relegated to the tedious task of analyzing fingerprints, Sue doesn't
remain there for long. When an FBI agent discovers her ability to read
lips, Sue is promoted to the bureau's elite surveillance team. Suddenly,
Sue and her hearing dog, Levi, are "G-men," involved with a lot more
action than they ever bargained for. But what they lack in experience,
they make up for in spirit and enthusiasm.
"Sue Thomas: F.B. Eye" stars newcomer Deanne Bray, an actress who herself
is deaf, Yannick Bisson ("Loves Music, Loves to Dance") and Jesse as Sue's
golden retriever, Levi. The inspiring and powerful series is created by
Dave Alan Johnson and Gary R. Johnson ("Doc," "Against the Grain") and
executive produced by Marilyn Stonehouse of Pebblehut Productions, Inc.
