Quotations Needed for the National Association of the Deaf Newsletter |
|||||||||||||||||
|
The National Association of the Deaf (NAD) is preparing a special January 2001 issue of their newsletter, the Broadcaster. This issue will focus wholly on cochlear implants. NAD would like a wide range of quotations from children, parents and educators across the nation to be interspersed throughout this issue. The quotes can be from a personal perspective, express an opinion about the NAD position paper or from a broad perspective. Quotes should be 25 to 50 words in length and include the full name of the person as well as their city and state. Those quotes that are not published will be screened for placement on the http://www.nad.org website. Send your quote by DECEMBER 1 to the attention of Associate Executive Director Anita Farb at farb@nad.org with a copy to Nancy Block at bloch@nad.org. FYI: The newsletter will include the full text of the NAD position statement on cochlear implants along with: Board perspective by Elizabeth Pollard, NAD president Headquarters perspective by Nancy Bloch, NAD executive director CI Committee perspective by Phil Aiello, NAD CI committee chair Educational perspective by Jay Innes, NAD EdCe director Parental perspective by an ASDC representative |
