Dry & Store is an electrical
appliance, recommended for in-home use every night. Place your hearing
aids or cochlear implant processor(s) in the drawer and press the Start button to begin the conditioning
process. The unit turns itself off after 8 hours.
At the beginning of the cycle, a specialized UV-C lamp sanitizes the
hearing aids by killing bacteria. Then for the next eight hours, Dry &
Store gently circulates warm, dry air, which releases the moisture
molecules from the hearing aids and from embedded earwax. Finally, those
moisture molecules are captured by a custom-formulated "desiccant." This
process of evaporating and capturing the moisture continues while you
sleep, so you can start each day with ultra-dry and fresh hearing aids. To
the user, this means less itching and irritation, and fewer recurring
infections of the external ear canal. While the primary purpose of the Dry-Brik® desiccant is to capture moisture released during the
conditioning process, it also acts as a deodorizer.
