One of the best things you can do is join some of the listserves dedicated to people who already have cochlear implants and also those who are considering getting one. They are very informative and their lists are usually heavy, so I suggest getting a daily digest instead of individual emails.

You can find a list of some of these in the HearingExchange Resource Directory here: www.hearingexchange.com/resources/Listservs_and_Discussion_Groups/. There are others that I hope to add shortly, so check back in a few days.

Another thing you can do is to read some of the personal web pages that people with CIs have put together. They can be found in our directory here: www.hearingexchange.com/resources/Personal_Web_Pages/Adults/
