I was just wondering if anyone ever took advantage of having a hearing loss... like getting away with speeding... getting accepted into a selective program/school... networking... Just looking for some stories.  Here's one of mine: IP: Logged |

LOL...I did that too with a cousin that I spent a lot of time with as a child. But I never really turned off the aids bc I didn't want to miss anything she said, I just pretended to to make her mad. I do it with My Wife, when she gets mad and starts arguing . she has caught on though so now she will make me face her so i have to see her spout off (thank god bathroom doors have locks lol) IP: Logged |

And I thought I was the only one to do this! When I was single, sometimes, at parties, I would wear my hair up and pretend to not hear someone I did not want to dance with. And, I use it all the time when my husband talks about something I don't want to hear. Like how many pairs of shoes I own. Lol! IP: Logged |
