Hello, my name is Bunny, I am a 54 year young gal from N.J. who finds herself very lonly and isolated without contact with other nearby deaf or hoh friends. I would like to make the acquaintance of some that are located near enough that we could communicate by tty or attend events together, etc. This is my S.O.S. to the deaf/HOH for help. I am loosing my hearing rapidly and find the isolation too much. Please e-mail me at ethelinharrison@webtv.net if you or you know someone who is interested in being of help. Hi Bunny, The hearingexchange.com is a wonderful site, & I really appreciate that it is there for folks. Not to "pull" you away from hearingexchange, but I noticed that there was a posting on the "deafness.about.com" site looking for friends in the areas of New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Delaware. Hey Guys and Gals... I don't mind if you all refer our community members to other sites! We all are here to provide the exchange of information and ideas on hearing loss. No one site is going to have everything available. I frequently recommend and refer people to information available on other sites too. Just remember to come back and visit us and make connections here too. I've been very pleased how everyone has joined in and offered support to our fellow community members. From all of the emails I've received in the past 9 months, it seems that many of you are thrilled with the site too. I am always working on ways to improve HearingExchange.
